Before you head into your test, make sure you take some time to get familiar with the computer-delivered format of the test. This practice test will give you an idea of what to expect in the computer-delivered IELTS General Training Reading and Writing tests.

The General-Training Reading question types in IELTS are the same as in the paper-based test:

  • Multiple choice
  • Identifying information
  • Note completion
  • Matching headings
  • Matching sentence endings
  • Summary completion
  • Sentence completion
  • Flow-chart completion

Get prepared: IELTS General-Training Writing

The General Training Writing question types in computer-delivered IELTS are the same as in the paper-based test:

  • In Task 1, you are expected to write a letter.
  • In Task 2, you are asked to write a short essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem.
