How much is the IELTS test fee?

The cost for an IELTS test in Australia is AUD$550.00. The price for the test is the same whether you take IELTS General Training or IELTS Academic. It's also the same whether you do IELTS on a computer or paper. There is no separate registration fee, payment processing fee, or late payment fee.
*Note that in some regional areas the test fee can be higher.

How can I change my test booking?

Please submit a change request form if you'd like to change your test module, reschedule your test or cancel your test.

Test module changes must be made at least 4 days before the test date. Tests can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 5 days before the test.

What if I am ill on the day of my IELTS Test?

Please let us know either on the day or up to 5 days after your test date. Kindly provide us with a medical certificate and we will transfer you to the next available date of your choosing.

An IELTS test is not the place to be if you are unwell – we would rather you rest up and recover.

What time should I arrive for my IELTS Test?

Please arrive with your passport no later than 30 minutes before your test (20 minutes for a Speaking test). We recommend that you leave plenty of time for your journey to allow for any unexpected delays.
In the event you’re running late, please contact us to let us know as soon as possible.

Can my Speaking Test time be changed?

Yes, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If your Speaking test time has been changed by us to ensure the smooth running of the day’s test schedule, rest assured that you will be notified.

What should I bring on the day?

Yourself, your passport, and a clear bottle of water with no label (water is available at the centre). Everything else that you need will be provided.

We do reserve the right to change the time of your speaking test to ensure that the schedule runs as smoothly as possible on the day for the majority of our customers.

Do you provide IELTS Classes?

We offer free IELTS Masterclasses and our website has lots of free practice materials.

All test bookings also come with a free online IELTS Course. We do not provide English language classes or face-to-face IELTS tuition.

Where can I park?

There is free parking at the Double Tree Hilton where the test is held.

Can I get a soft or electronic copy of my IELTS results?

No, eTRFs are only available for customers who take an IELTS on computer test. For the IELTS on paper test, a TRF will be printed and posted to your mailing address.

Is there any provision made for individuals who have special requirements?

Yes. To ensure that the language ability of all test takers is assessed fairly and objectively, IELTS provides a comprehensive service for test-takers who have special requirements, including specific learning difficulties, hearing difficulties and visual difficulties, medical conditions or infant feeding.

If you require a modified version of IELTS or require special arrangements to be made (e.g. extra time), please contact our test centre for advice at least six weeks before the intended test date. Learn more about the special provisions that are available here.
