Have you taken your IELTS test, and received your official Test Report Form? If you achieved your desired IELTS result, congratulations! There’s a world of opportunity ahead of you.

However, if you’d like to improve just one component of your IELTS test, we’d like to introduce a new feature: IELTS One Skill Retake. We know most test takers get the scores they need the first time. But if you feel you haven’t performed to your best in all areas, IELTS One Skill Retake can help you get back on track.

Let's look at how you can book IELTS One Skill Retake!

“I am so grateful that IELTS now offers One Skill Retake because it allowed me to focus on only one area of the test. That’s why I was able to make the most of my exam preparation and eventually got my target score.” – Abbie, from the Philippines.

Check if you've taken an eligible IELTS test

If you take your full IELTS test at an eligible IELTS One Skill Retake centre, you can then retake any one skill of the IELTS test, whether it’s Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking.

How do you know if your test is eligible for One Skill Retake?

  • You've taken IELTS on computer (at the moment, IELTS One Skill Retake is not available for IELTS on paper); and

  • You sat your full IELTS test at a test centre that offers IELTS One Skill Retake. You can check this if you have an existing profile and can see your past IELTS test on your IELTS account.
