IELTS Future Award Terms

This document sets out the terms applicable to your participation in the IELTS Future Award (the Promotion). By submitting an entry or otherwise participating in the Promotion, you agree to comply with these terms, any applicable Country-Specific Terms, and any reasonable directions given by the Promoter regarding the Promotion. Please ensure you’ve read and understood the terms before entering.

The Promoter is IDP Education Limited (ABN 59 117 676 463) of Level 10, Two Melbourne Quarter, 697 Collins St, Docklands, Victoria 3008 (IDP) and each IDP Affiliate for Participating Countries and territories set out in the Schedule.

To be eligible for the Promotion, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• be a resident of a Participating Country or territory;

• be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your Participating Country or territory;

• successfully complete an in-centre IELTS test (either Academic or General Training) booked through an IDP Affiliate and received a valid IELTS test result between 1 July 2024 and 31 March 2025.

By entering the Promotion, you confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria.

The Promotion is not open to any entrant who:

• does not meet the eligibility criteria above; or

• is an employee, contractor, agent or supplier of the Promoter or their immediate family members.

Entries received from ineligible entrants will be deemed to be invalid.

The Promotion will run between 12.01AM (AEDT) on Monday 10 December 2024 and 11.59PM (AEDT) on Friday 31 March (Promotion Period).

Entries received outside of the Promotion Period will be deemed to be invalid.

To participate in the Promotion, you must follow the steps outlined below during the Promotion Period:

• visit the designated Promotion landing page (the Website).

• on the Website, locate and complete the entry form. The entry form will require you to provide responses to two (2) questions. Each response must be one hundred (100) words or less.

• Entrants must also submit a video of no more than one (1) minute in length as part of their entry. The video should be uploaded directly to the Website as per the instructions provided.

You may submit a maximum of one entry only. Entries that exceed the maximum amount of entries allowed or that don’t meet the requirements above will be deemed invalid.

There is no separate fee required to enter or win this Promotion. However, entry into this Promotion does require the purchase of an IELTS test though the Promoter in accordance with the eligibility criteria set out above.

There are a total of 8 prizes available across all Participating Countries and territories. The approximate retail value of the prize pool is USD$40,000.

There is no guarantee of a prize allocation for each Participating Country. The actual value of the prize may vary depending on the currency the prize is distributed in and exchange rate at the time of prize distribution. The exchange rate will be determined by the Promoter using a reputable financial source.

The prize is not transferable and cannot be substituted or exchanged for any other form of payment, except the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable value if a prize listed is unlawful or unavailable for any reason.

The Promoter accepts no liability regarding the prize. In some cases, prizes may be subject to taxation requirements or additional fees in the Participating Country and territory. Prize winners are solely responsible for all taxes and fees associated with their receipt or use of the prize and where applicable, the prize will not be provided until the winner notifies the Promoter that it has paid all applicable taxes.

Your odds of winning will depend on the total number of prizes available, and eligible entries received, in your Participating Country or territory during the Promotion Period.

Each entry in this Promotion will be assessed for shortlisting by a panel of judges within Promoter, and short-listed entries will be assessed for final decision by a panel of judges within IDP.

The judges will evaluate each entry based on six (6) criteria. For each criterion, entries will receive a score between one (1) and ten (10), with ten (10) being the highest possible score. The total possible score for each entry is sixty (60), with each of the six (6) criteria contributing up to ten (10) points to the total score.

The entries with the highest total scores up to the set number of possible winners for each Participating Country will be deemed the winners. In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-evaluated by the judges until the winners are determined.

The judges’ decisions are final and binding within the Participating Countries. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process or any outcomes reached.

The winners will be announced on or around Friday, 25 April 2025, and IDP will also notify winners at this time using the email or phone contact information provided at the time of entry. The notification will include information on how to claim the prize.

If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within seven (7) days of the initial notification attempt, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring entry.

It is your responsibility to ensure you provide correct and up-to-date contact information. The Promoter is not responsible for notifications that are misdirected or not received due to incorrect contact information.

Upon submission, you agree to:

• grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and publish your name and entry on the Promoter’s social media channels and other promotional platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), WeChat, TikTok and the Promoter’s website;

• allow the Promoter to use your name, likeness, and any other personal information provided in connection with the Promotion for promotional purposes; and

• participate in any surveys and other promotional activities related to the Promotion required by the Promoter, which may include being interviewed, filmed, photographed.

The Promoter’s decision on all matters pertaining to this Promotion will be final.

The Promoter reserves the right to:

• verify the validity of each entry;

• disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, is unlawful, inappropriate, insulting, inflammatory, defamatory, incomplete, ambiguous, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, damages the goodwill or reputation of the Promoter, or is not in accordance with these terms; or

• vary these terms and conditions or suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time and for any reason without notice to you.

The Promoter will handle your personal information in accordance with the Promoter’s Group Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

The Promoter collects personal information from you to conduct the Promotion, determine eligibility, notify winners, distribute the prizes, and for marketing purposes relating to the Promotion and winning entries. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to third party services providers for these purposes.

It is a condition of this Promotion that the winner read and agree to the Promoter’s Group Privacy Policy. By entering the promotion, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes outlined in these terms and acknowledge that your personal information will be transferred and processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Group Privacy Policy.

As the Promotion is global, please be aware that any personal information you provide may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including but not limited to Australia and other Participating Countries, each of which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

For any queries concerning the conduct of this Promotion, or about claiming a prize, please contact the IDP Affiliate for your Participating Country using the contact details set out in the Schedule.

These Terms are intended to comply with the laws and regulations of the Participating Countries and territories in which the Promotion is offered. If any provision of these terms is inconsistent with laws, regulations or requirements applicable to the Promotion in a Participating Country or territory, the Country-Specific Terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency in that Participating Country or territory.

I hereby grant to the following entities and those individuals acting with the authority of the below mentioned entity: IDP Education Limited (ACN 117 676 463), 697 Collins Street, Docklands, Vic 3008 (collectively “IDP”)*

1. Written or oral stories, descriptions, comments or responses made by me, and 2) photographs, film, video, tape or capture of any image or likeness taken of me by or on behalf of IDP (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Stories”), the unrestricted, royalty-free, non-revocable, assignable, worldwide and perpetual license and right to:

(a) Reproduce, adapt, modify, create derivatives in whole or in part, or otherwise use the Stories or any part thereof in combination with or as a composite of text, data, images, photographs, video or audio segments, in any media or embodiment including, but not limited to, all formats of computer-readable electronic, magnetic, digital, laser, or optical-based media (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Works”) for public awareness, media campaigns, or for any purpose whatsoever;

(b) Use and permit to be used my name, whether in original or modified form, in connection with the Works, as IDP (or any of them) may choose; and

(c) Display, exhibit, publish, distribute, transmit, or broadcast or otherwise exploit the Works by any means now known or hereafter to become known.

(d) I consent to my image, video and voice being used for the following; social media, IDP websites, IDP apps, brand banks for future user, media and podcasts.

I hereby waive all rights and release and discharge IDP from, and shall neither sue nor bring any proceeding against any such parties for any claim, demand, or cause of action whether now known or unknown, for defamation, breach of intellectual property rights (including breach of moral rights under the Copyright Act 1968), invasion of right to privacy, publicity, or personality or any similar matter, or based upon or relating to the use and exploitation of the Stories. I acknowledge that I have no rights in the copyright in the Stories or the Works.

I agree that there shall be no obligation to utilise the authorisation granted by me hereunder. The terms of this license and authorisation shall commence on the date hereof and be without limitation. I warrant and represent that I am a competent person over the age of 18 years and that I am free to enter into this agreement.

I consent to IDP collecting Personal Information and Sensitive Information about me (including the information in this Deed, and any photograph or other image or likeness taken of me) for the purposes set out in this Deed.
