If your IELTS test centre has closed, don't worry. You will still be able to get additional Test Report Forms (TRFs).
What you need to do next depends on whether you took IELTS on Paper or IELTS on Computer.
This guide explains your options and how to request additional TRFs.
What happens if my IELTS test centre has closed?
A permanently closed test centre doesn’t mean your IELTS results are no longer available. Depending on your test format, you can request additional Test Report Forms (TRFs) or access them through your IELTS account
If you took IELTS on Computer
If you took IELTS on computer and your original test centre has closed, you can download additional TRFs directly from your IELTS account.
How to download your e-TRF?
Log in to your IELTS profile here.
Access your results.
Download your e-TRF.
If you need help accessing your account or downloading your TRFs, please contact our Customer Support team.
If you took IELTS on Paper
If your test centre has closed and you took IELTS on paper, you can request an additional Test Report Form (TRF) via an online form.
However, these TRFs won’t be sent directly to you.
They will instead be sent to a recognising organisation, such as:
A university or education provider
A professional registration body
A government department
An employer or other approved organisation
There may also be a fee for this service.
How to request an additional TRF
To request an additional TRF for an IELTS on paper test taken at a closed test centre, complete this official request form. Once your request has been submitted, it will be reviewed and processed according to the requirements of the receiving organisation.
What information may be required?
When submitting a request for an additional TRF, you may be asked to provide information such as:
Your full name
Date of birth
IELTS test date
Original test centre details
Candidate number (if available)
Details of the receiving organisation
Providing complete and accurate information can help avoid delays in processing your request.
How much does it cost?
If the organisation is registered with the IELTS online results verification service, your results can be shared electronically for free.
If the recognising organisation is not registered, we’ll need to send a physical copy of your Test Report Form (TRF).
The first physical TRF costs £10. Each additional physical TRF sent to another recognising organisation costs £5.
How long will it take?
For results shared online, processing is within 24 hours.
Physical copies are usually processed within 10 working days.
Processing times may be longer during busy periods, so it's best to submit your request ahead of any deadlines.
