IELTS One Skill Retake helps you show your full potential!
Test takers of the worldâs most popular high-stakes language test, IELTS, can now access a new feature to help boost the score they need to achieve their global learning and career goals.
Already available in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, and coming to Sydney and Brisbane in March, IELTS One Skill Retake enables test takers to retake one of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking) if they did not achieve the score they aimed for the first time around.
Warwick Freeland, Managing Director â IELTS, IDP Education, said IELTS One Skill Retake had been introduced after listening to test taker feedback.
âWith the right preparation and support, most of our test takers achieve their best score the first time around,â Mr Freeland said.
âHowever, we listened to our test takers and they told us they wanted the opportunity to retake one skill of the test if they didnât get the score they were aspiring to on test day. With IELTS One Skill Retake, test takers can get a second shot at achieving their study, migration or work goals,â he said.
Test takers are ecstatic about IELTS One Skill Retake
Test takers who took part in the first IELTS One Skill Retake test praised the new option.
"I was ecstatic when my friend told me about IELTS One Skill Retake... I am very lucky to be one of the pioneering people to have this opportunity. One Skill Retake is a game-changer,â commented a Melbourne-based test taker.
Test takers who choose an IELTS One Skill Retake will receive a second Test Report that can be used for migration and study purposes by the Australian Department of Home Affairs for certain visa subclasses. Depending on their score, test takers can choose whether they would like to use their old or new Test Report for the skill they retook.
Mr Freeland said this new option demonstrates IELTSâ commitment to helping customers achieve their best scores and to supporting organisations to attract the right candidates.
âIELTS One Skill Retake improves fairness by providing an opportunity to retake a single skill if the test taker feels their original performance was not representative of their language proficiency level,â he said.
âOrganisations that accept the IELTS One Skill Retake can offer their candidates the flexibility to achieve entry requirements without compromising on applicant quality.
âWe are proud of this initiative that reinforces our commitment to helping test takers achieve their full potential,â he said. âŻ
